WCC V ROEHAMPTON

Match Drawn

We started poorly, losing the skipper to a niggle in the gut region early doors. But despite that 11 players AND Umpire/matchmanager Vijay J turned up. Well done Vijay

Weekenders lost the toss and were put in. Batting was a struggle with Vijay's indestructible match ball swinging all over the place. But some agricultural hitting from Radford and some long handle from Rennie saw us to a challenging 159. Radford avoided his jug by smacking a ball straight to long on. Where it was dropped. Undeterred he played exactly the same shot and this time the oppo fielder failed to drop it again.

Roehampton started well reaching 110 for 2 before stand in skipper Harvey decided enough was enough and blew them away with magnificent 4fer. Harvey avoided his jug by failing to remove obdurate Number 11. He played out the last 3 overs for the draw, without looking like either getting out or scoring a run.
