Mr & Mrs Cooper arranged this delightful fixture against their Surrey village-side. The bowling performance looks a curate’s egg with the only blemish a century by Owen-Skull. In response, our three gayest blades all got starts but failed to emulate Skull-like domination. Numbers five to eleven managed only twelve runs as we subsided to a 91-run defeat. In compensation, Hon Sec was diverted by the unusual Arts & Crafts pavilion.
